My next bike build will be a Tommasini Tecno frame. Over the years I have reviewed many carbon fiber bicycles. Every year during race season I would be sponsored by a carbon bike manufacturer. I would race the bike, praise it (when appropriate) and then sell it at the end of the racing season. From October – March I would then rekindle my love affair with my custom steel Serotta CSI. Pictured below.
But this year will be different. I will build a Tommasini Tecno. The Tecno is a very well handmade Italian frameset. I will be building this frameset with a mix of latest technology components meanwhile winning a few style points while using highly polished bars, stem, and seatpost – retro if you will. While it might ruffle the feathers of some “purists” I will build the bike with Shimano Di2 11 speed drivetrain. Additionally, since the Tommasini will be my primary bike for racing and training it will be equipped with an SRM (power meter device)
In my opinion, and many others, steel is the very best material to use for a bicycle frame! If you are interested in getting yourself a Tommasini frame contact me at revcycling@gmail.com
