A much more detailed report will follow. But in the meantime, I honestly can’t figure out what all the hype about carbon bikes is all about. Having ridden this bike almost 500 miles in varied road conditions i.e. smooth pavement, rough pavement, dirt and gravel, it escapes me why someone needs to spend $5,000 on a carbon bicycle frame! This is a FANTASTIC riding steel bicycle frame at a great and affordable price! MSRP is $1,049.95
I have often told my customers that I can tell if I’m going to like or be impressed by a bike in the first 10 pedals strokes out of my driveway. It’s the same with saddles, wheels, tires you name it. But I know some of you out there want to see a longer evaluation period so I will continue to ride and enjoy this bike. I will report back after I have reached a certain mileage milestone. Tomorrow is a very big riding day and I am excited to spend my day on the Ritchey Road Logic 2.0!
Hi George. I just stumbled on your blog looking to read up on the Road Logic. I’m excited to hear more on your experience of this bike as I am in the process of gathering my “pennies” to build one of these up! All the past distance riding I’ve done has been by way of an old Bianchi Volpe (lots of touring miles on the trusty steed). An XC mountain biker over the years – looking to do more road riding as I age. I can’t wait to have a bit more of a performance ride for longer day rides now that I am living in one place and have a job that does’t afford the kind of touring I have been accustomed to in the past. Thanks again!
Hello OLd Griz,
Thank you for your post! First allow me to apologize for the delayed response.
I really enjoy riding this frame. I wholeheartedly recommend this frame to anyone looking for a lower cost steel frame with all the ride quality you need! I prefer my Tomassini Tecno with steel fork but the price difference is more than twice as much! Ritchey Road Logic $1,049 the Tomassini $2,599. I am a Ritchey let me know I can order the frame for you. I also can do the complete build for you 🙂

Also looking forward to reading more. I just had a Ti stolen and looking for a replacement. I already have a lightning fast carbon in the stable but i do miss my Ti. Right now trying to decide between ritchey. Ti, stainless, and custom. But this price i’m so teady for the ritchey. I’ve been eying this frame for years now anyway
Hello Brandon,
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and make a comment.
After having hung up the bike for a few months I got back on it last week. I sincerely think there is no reason anyone should spend any more money than $1049.00 for a frame/fork and headset! Honestly, I aside from the fact that I personally like a steel fork this is a fantastic frameset. I am very fortunate to be a Ritchey dealer otherwise I would have never taken a chance to purchase this bike. I truly believe you will be happy with this bike. I built it with Ultegra 6800 11 speed and HED Ardennes plus wheels and it rides incredible.
Let me know if I can help you purchase a Ritchey Logic 2.0 frameset. Send your email to revcycling@gmail.com
Cheers,
George Vargas
