REV Cycling gets the win at Fall Death Valley Double Century with Sarah “COOP!” Cooper

Sarah “COOP!” Cooper first place Fall Death Valley Double Century

FALL DEATH VALLEY DOUBLE

October 25, 2013

I am so happy I could burst.  Our team had a great turnout and results at the Fall Death Valley Double Century.  In case you haven’t been on Facebook. REV Cycling took first overall with Sarah “COOP!” Cooper’s amazing ride!  And Lori and I took first tandem (about 7 tandems present)
You can read about Sarah’s ride on her blog here
You can read Ultra Race News here

Additionally, Brian Griffith had his longest ride ever with 181 miles. Which is amazing since just a couple of weeks ago he couldn’t even walk unassisted!

New team member Matt Colburn finished his first Double Century!  Matt flew in from Massachusetts for the event. Even after his mechanical (front wheel failure) he finished. He was determined to finish!

Ellen Kirk completed her Double Century with extra climbing and 10 extra miles!

Beth Griffith rode her heart out to complete the hardest 50 mile ride she has ever ridden.  She can honestly say it was uphill all the way…because it was!

Nick Lyons rode his 3rd double this year with his dad.  Nick had a big first year of Ultras having completed 6 doubles and one 600k!

Last but not least Amy Snyder and Pat volunteered at the event.  Amy and Pat were amazing at prepping us for the final 6.5 mile 7% climb at mile 168.

I am very proud of all our team members and their achievements.   This pretty much concludes the Double Century event calendar.  Now it’s time to get those base miles for next year!

Stay tuned for a end of season wrap-up! For more information about REV Cycling and how to join please email revcycling@gmail.com
